Die zweite Woche der Winterferien haben wir genutzt, um uns im Trainingslager auf die anstehenden Wettkampfhöhepunkte vorzubereiten. Bereits zum 15. Mal reisten wir dazu in den Bayerischen Wald nach Furth. Hier stand uns erneut nicht nur eine 25-Meter-Halle, sondern auch eine Dreifeld-Turnhalle und die Jugendherberge des Ortes zur Verfügung. Wir nutzten die guten Bedingungen für insgesamt neun Schwimm-, drei Athletik- und eine Yoga-Einheit. Nun heißt es Regeneration für die 17. Auflage unseres Vogtland-Schwimmcups am letzten Februar-Wochenende. Unsere größeren Schwimmer zeigen zusätzlich eine Woche darauf ihr Können bei den Sächsischen Meisterschaften in Leipzig.

Schon zum 16. Mal veranstalteten wir am Samstag in Plauen den Vogtland-Schwimmcup. Unserer Einladung folgten – dazu passend – insgesamt 16 Vereine aus Sachsen, Thüringen und Bayern. Gut 200 Schwimmer sprangen im bewährten Modus (50-Meter-Sprints in allen Lagen und für die schnellsten acht Sportler jeden Jahrgangs ein Finale über 200 Meter Lagen) ins Wasser.

Von uns gingen 24 Schwimmer an den Start. Da es für die meisten schon lang keinen Wettkampf auf der Langbahn mehr gab, endeten die meisten der Starts mit deutlichen Bestzeiten. Ganz zur Freude ihrer Trainer. Die Mehrzahl unserer Schwimmer qualifizierte sich für die 200-Meter-Finalläufe. Hier ging es ein ums andere Mal äußerst eng zur Sache. Finya sicherte sich den ersten Platz. Auf der letzten Bahn behielt sie trotz heraneilender Zweitplatzierter noch einen Vorsprung. Viktor belegte in einem ebenso knappen Zieleinlauf um Platz zwei den Silberrang. Falk und Lennox wurden in ihren Finals Dritte, Charlotte und Tessa Zweitplatzierte. Luke und Marielle landeten auf Platz 4, Liam auf Platz 5. Ben, Adrian und Liah wurden 7. , Farin und Eddie wurden im Finale Achte. In der Mannschaftswertung belegten wir damit den vierten Platz.

Liebe Mitglieder, liebe Unterstützer, liebe Sportfreunde,
wir wünschen Euch frohe Weihnachten, schöne Feiertage, eine erholsame Zeit und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr. Anstrengende aber erfolgreiche Monate liegen hinter uns. Wir wünschen uns und Euch, dass wir auch im kommenden Jahr wieder viele sportliche Erfolge feiern und viele schöne Stunden zusammen verbringen können.

Um das Jahr gebührend abschließen zu können, laden wir und der Tauchclub Nemo Euch zum traditionellen Silvesterbaden an die Talsperre Pöhl ein.

wir starten im Herbst mit unserer neuen Schwimmlerngruppe und freuen uns auf sportliche junge Wasserratten. Etwa ein halbes Jahr lang nehmen sich unsere erfahrenen Trainer dafür Zeit, aus den Kindern möglichst sichere Schwimmer zu machen. Noch sind Plätze für Kinder der Geburtsjahrgänge 2018 und 2019 frei. Was lange währt wird endlich gut. Schon seit vielen Monaten freuen wir uns darauf, euch unseren neuen Internetauftritt zu präsentieren. Die alte Seite war etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Sie hatte uns seit 2010 treue Dienste geleistet, wurde aber immer schwerer zu bedienen. Nun geht es jung, frisch und in einem neuen Layout auf dieser Seite los.

Gerade zu Beginn kann es sein, dass sich noch der ein oder andere Fehler hier auf der Seite tummelt. Falls ihr einen entdeckt, schreibt uns gern eine Mail. Wir kümmern uns dann so schnell es geht darum, ihn zu beheben.
